Michael LeRoy Orlando was an active member of Golden Key as an undergrad at the University of Nebraska. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska in 1989. In 1993, he graduated with honors from Florida State University College of Law and received his J.D.

Golden Key International Honor Society is the largest collegiate honor society in the world. Joining Golden Key is difficult and can only be done via an invitation from the society. Invitations are given to only the top 15% university and college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and top performing graduate students.
